Regrowth : A community Imprint

Over recent weeks, a group of local women gathered at Lucyvale Hall to take part in a gentle botanical printmaking workshop created in response to the recent bushfires across Towong Shire.
Using leaves and foliage gathered from gardens, paddocks and places carrying personal meaning, participants created beautiful gel plate prints exploring themes of loss, resilience, regrowth and hope.
What unfolded on the workshop day was incredibly special — quiet creating, cups of tea shared, women encouraging one another, stories exchanged, and moments of reflection.
At the exhibition opening, one participant spoke about arriving feeling “not at all arty,” but leaving proud of the pieces she had created, sharing that the day felt like an act of self care. That sentiment beautifully captured the heart of this project.
The exhibition now on display at Corryong Library celebrates not only creativity, but the strength, honesty and resilience within our rural communities.
A heartfelt thank you to every participant who trusted the process and shared part of their story.
It was such a privilege to share the day with you all.
