The Creative Workers in Schools (CWS) employed 172 creative industries workers to undertake six-month residencies in Victorian government schools. The workshop was held in the light filled space of Burraja Gallery  which combined with the fragrance of steaming gum leaves was simply delicious. We were chosen by the City of Wagga Wagga to facilitate Silk Marbling workshops in their rural villages. These workshops were free to attendees and aimed at reconnecting local communities after the pandemic, such a challenging and sometimes lonely year. What a wonderful week We visited 6 regional towns in four days and sharing our silk workshop with 72 beautiful souls. It was also the perfect excuse for a social catch up and the rooms were always buzzing with chatter. So nice
